2020 Georgetown Craft Beer Festival Cancelled

It is with heavy beer glasses that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Georgetown Craft Beer Festival.

Every year thousands of people come together with family and friends to enjoy the season in beautiful Halton Hills. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all our guests and volunteers. Despite our best efforts, we cannot safely proceed with the festival due to the pandemic and physical distancing measures. Those who have already purchased tickets to the 2020 event will be contacted in the coming weeks.

Yearly, over two hundred volunteers come together to deliver the festival in support of local charities. The pandemic has significantly impacted the fundraising efforts of many charities, including our 2020 primary sponsors Food4Kids Halton (www.food4kidshalton.ca) and Cancer Assistance Services Halton Hills (www.cancerassistance.org). We encourage those who are able to consider supporting these charities by visiting their websites and making a donation.

Our festival would not be possible without the support of the dozens of craft brewers and gourmet food trucks that participate in our festival. Like many small businesses, the pandemic has caused a significant negative impact on our brewer and food truck friends. We invite our guests to consider supporting the Ontario Craft Brewers and gourmet food trucks that have helped make our festival such a success. You can find a list of both brewers and food trucks on our website at www.headforthehills.ca.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the four local service clubs – Georgetown Lions Club, Georgetown Rotary Club, Georgetown Kiwanis Club and the Georgetown Kinsmen Club – we wish you all health and happiness in 2020.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2021!
