Head for the Hills voted #1 Favourite Beer Festival in Ontario

After a tight race in a recent online poll conducted by momandhops.ca, Head for the Hills, the Georgetown Craft Beer Festival, was voted the #1 favourite Beer Festival in Ontario.

Head for the Hills was neck and neck with Beau’s Oktoberfest (Vankleek Hill) the whole time, but pulled ahead in the end with 527 votes. Beau’s Oktoberfest came second with 463 votes. Luckily, Head for the Hills and Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company have a good relationship. Both friendly competitors vowed to send their swag to the winner. Not long after Head for the Hills took the title, a lovely case of Beau’s Lug Tread appeared at the next Head for the Hills committee meeting.

Still quite young, the Georgetown Craft Beer Festival is entering its third year. After two sold out events in 2015 and 2016 (despite the rain both years), the Head for the Hills team is regrouping once again for a third pour. “It is icing on the cake, really. We are volunteer-run and all proceeds go to local charities, so to do all that good and also run a smooth event is something we are really proud of. Cheers to that!” says Victoria Fraser of the Head for the Hills Marketing Committee.

This contest is a great kick-starter to the craft beer season. Head for the Hills, the Georgetown Craft Beer Festival, looks forward to delivering a great time worthy of #1 for the third year in a row this September.
